Breathtaking is the only word I have to describe this new release from Solar Wind. Sedona Sunrise is a wonderful crisp sound along with Catalina Breeze and Shoreline Drive. This disc is a must for the jazz lover!! Sean Mason has rounded up the troops for this one to the likes of Eric Marienthal and David Benoit who play with stunning ease! Listen to it once and you will be be HOOKED!!!! What a great smooth sound!

I bought this groups first CD "Grand Tour Alignment" about two years ago after hearing it on MP3.com, but this new CD is even better! I was happy to see Eric Marienthal's return as guest artist and was thrilled to hear David Benoit playing some wonderful piano on this project as well! It was well worth the wait for "Blue Horizon" ! Sean Mason is one of the most well-rounded and talented musicians of our time.
(in my opinion) His ability to write, perform and produce great "Smooth Jazz" is only surpassed by his amazing original bass playing style. (very clean and quick!) This shows in the very hot "fusion" tunes that are interwoven on this recording. This CD truley has something for everyone. From the hooky first cut "Shoreline Drive" to the laid-back Latin-ish groove of "Catalina Breeze" it is refreshing to hear this level of creativity in a time of growing "sameness" in the Contemporary Jazz music scene. I not only recommend this CD...I am certain it deserves a permanent place in ANYONE'S
music collection...it is outstanding! John Gregory , Los Angeles, Ca.

One of the few albums I've listened to and liked start to finish.
This album grabs you and draws you in right from the start. Smooth jazz and fusion with Eric Marienthal and David Benoit making appearances. Bassist Sean Mason romps with heavy duty chops and this album mixes it all together for a great contemporary jazz CD. One of the best I've heard this year.....no question. These guys have "IT" in a big way.
A fantastic album for both music lovers and musician's.
